It's amazing to me how many women are capable of swinging both ways. Good for them. Love is love. I guess I'm just unbearably straight! 

Is Carrie self-absorbed and not one to go above and beyond for others? Yes. Is she a ‘monster’? No. Far from it. If she were, that would mean most of the people I know are ‘monsters’. The reality is most people are pretty self-absorbed and most people don’t go above and beyond. And I actually disagree with every single one of these examples as ‘evidence’ of Carrie being a ‘monster’. There’s more to each of those scenarios. 

I think you missed the joke. The joke was that she was actually excited to go to the gynecologist - as opposed to most women who dread going to the gynecologist. She was excited to go the gynecologist because she was excited to be a human being, while the rest of us take it for granted.

I SO agree with No. 2. You're only young once. Enjoy your youthful good looks while you have them (it goes by so fast!) and inject Botox and fillers later (if at all).
