As a 53 year old mother of two, 27 and 29, I feel the parent relationship changes as they get older. I was definitely their parent when they were young but as they entered adulthood, we have a more "friendly" relationship where I treat them as adults and they see me as another adult, not just their mother/parent. They know I am their parent first and foremost and will always have their backs but we can have a fun, close adult relationship too!

Read most of them already but super keen for The Push - I thought I was the only one who has We Need To Talk About Kevin in their favourite of all time list!!
