She isn’t really a SAHM though is she… She has a social media profile which requires work, she is a published writer/journalist, she speaks on podcasts etc.. I’m sure all these things are a source of income, plus take time away from her primary job of SAHMing….

Unfortunately this is so sad and so true. As someone who works in this field dealing predominantly with Aboriginal people I find people only care about victims of FDV if they are white women. Aboriginal victims are often cast as “just as bad” or the violence in the relationship is “mutual”. I’m glad to see Mamamia shining the light here.
None of these fit my mum.... perfume maybe but it’s a bit token. What do you buy a mum who thinks she is sporty (but in reality she isn’t really...)?
