So, we're so glad someone's judging what these kids are wearing...

…because otherwise we wouldn’t know who the most stylish celebrity baby in the world was. Imagine.

Prince George has many, many years to wait before he becomes the King.

Until then, he’ll just have to be content with a different title: that of “The World’s Most Fashionable Baby”.

We’re not kidding; a British baby site has conducted a poll to determine the most fashionable celebrity baby. Which is a perfectly sane idea because, as we all know, babies are great at choosing and purchasing their own clothing. Mummy and daddy are completely redundant in that regard.

There’s no denying Will and Kate’s son has excellent taste in playsuits – the sailor-themed one he wore to a playdate in New Zealand sold out within a day. That’s impressive for someone who’s only been on the planet for 10 months – not even Miranda Kerr has that kind of fashion clout.

Here’s another insider tip: George also approves of superhero merchandise. During a public appearance in Scotland yesterday, Duchess Catherine met a young boy wearing a Spider-Man shirt, and told him: “George has Spider-Man pajamas, but they are too big for him just now.” We can only imagine the extreme gorgeousness of the future King wearing Spider-Man jammies.

Almost a quarter of My1stYears.com voted Georgie Boy into the top fashion spot, ahead of some very stiff competition.

Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy, whose wardrobe includes personalised studded leather jackets and iconic Timberland boots, was a close second, followed by the offspring of Kimye: baby North West.

Other notable babies in the Top 10 include Harper Beckham (#5), Kate Winslet’s son Bear Blaze (#7) and Prince George’s cousin, Mia Tindall, at number 8. Gotta start that family rivalry early, you know.
