Prank it forward: 50 homeless people, one big surprise.

Today’s Good News post is brought to you by Vaalia.

For the next four weeks we’ll be bringing you a little dose of good news. Sometimes when we turn on the TV, radio or open a newspaper it feels like everything in the world is just sad and wrong. But there are pockets of delight and happiness, which we’ll be uncovering and bringing to you.

“I never in my life got treated like this. Never.”

Said through tears, those were the only words a homeless woman could say after being treated to a 5 star meal.

By far the best video to come out of April Fool’s Day, Greg Benson (who makes a living out of pranking people in Youtube videos), decided to do something a little different this year.

He organised to turn a California homeless shelter into a 5 star restaurant to give a bunch of people something really special.

There was a professional chef, a string quartet, a maitre d’ – the full works.

Watching the diners be treated to something so special will really warm your heart, especially when one woman turns to the camera with disbelief and says “Is that filet mignon? I never had that before.”

So lovely to watch.
