Poolies - The parents who go to schoolies.

Feeling the need to relive your schoolies debauchery?

Your darling child is graduating school. Exams are done. No more packed lunches or uniforms or Saturday morning sport.  The last thing left? Schoolies week.

Except, some parents can’t quite let go.

This week on This Glorious Mess, it’s POOLIES. The parents who tag along to schoolies week. Has helicopter parenting gone too far or is it a good idea to be able to keep your eye on your kids?

Plus, there’s an exclusive club for parents that neither hosts Andrew Daddo OR Alys Gagnon – who’s standing in for Holly Wainwright this week – can be part of, and they want it. Bad. And in nailed and failed, Daddo has to choose: watch his daughter try out for the state team for basketball? Or ignore her to play a round of golf on the lush green course next door?

This Glorious Mess is the podcast for imperfect parents. Like these two.

Alys and Andrew. Perfectly normal.

It’s free to listen, and it’s an awesome way to catch up on things/be entertained/distract yourself while you’re getting on with the rest of your life.

If you’re new to the idea, and you’re not sure how to get podcasts on your phone, give it to your three year old. They’re pretty tech savvy these days. Or, read this simple guide.  You can also watch the video here:
