The Family Secret That Triggered Britney Spears' Furious Statement

On the show today…

The glitzy Cannes Film Festival has come to an end, with the closing awards night ceremony drawing international headlines, thanks to one surprising moment that has been likened to the infamous Oscars La La Land / Moonlight mix-up.

And Britney Spears has posted a series of passionate statements to her Instagram account, calling out people in her closest circles who have only now come to her defence as she fights to have her 13-year conservatorship removed. A few family members, in particular, were singled out in her statements, and it can all be traced back to one particular moment.

Plus if you went online at all this weekend you would have seen the name ‘Katie Hopkins’ splashed across every one of your social media channels. The controversial UK broadcaster and writer was allowed to enter Australia so she could appear on the upcoming season of Big Brother VIP. Her visa has now been revoked, but the initial reason why she was allowed into the country is a much more complicated story.
