Open post of the week. What's on your mind?

Office dog Harry is a feminist.

We’re divided in the Mamamia office this week.

We’ve agreed we’re all feminists (evidence of that in the gallery below) and we’re more than happy to agree we all enjoy the occasional cupcake.

But we’re split 50:50 when it comes to the Olympics. You see, some of us are planning to get up for the 5:30am opening ceremony start and, well, some of us would rather pash a squirrel.

I’m in the early camp. I’m getting up. And I’m going to make pancakes shaped as discuses to celebrate.

If there’s one thing I’m excited about this week (aside from the announcement that Mariah Carey’s going to be the new judge on American Idol!!!!!) it’s that we’re officially in Olympic countdown mode. Yep, it’s no sleep from here, people.

So who’s with me?

I can’t wait for that feeling of watching the swimming and there’s 10 metres to go and world record line Is. Catching. Up. And. Time. Slows. Down. And. Everyone’s. Screaming. And……

That. I’m looking forward to 2 weeks of that. Even if it’s happening at 3am.

Bring on the coffee.

That’s it from me – and this is what’s been happening at Mamamia HQ and in the world of social media this week.

What’s on your mind?

ps. For all of you who are into the Olympics but don’t care to wake up at unhealthy hours, the good news is Mamamia will be posting a round up of what’s been happening every night while you were sleeping.

pps. And for all of you not so Olympics-obsessed, the good news is the rest of the Mamamia day will be business as usual.

ppps. I’m not really excited about Mariah. Promise.
