Because it contains SPOILERS. Big, fat spoilers about the winner of The Block: Glasshouse.
But first – let’s go over what we’ve been enjoying on our TV screens for the last few months.
Five couples have had to renovate a big, ugly block into homes that are actually worth spending money on. And with a lot of blood, sweat and fancy light fixtures, they’ve managed to do exactly that.
So who was it that managed to take out the biggest profit of the series?
Who managed to take out the biggest profit after all five auctions (the order of which was chosen by teams with the most points)?
Was it Max and Karstan?
Or Dee and Darren?
Or Chris and Jenna?
Or Shannon and Simon?
Orrrrrr Michael and Carlene?
The winner is… drum-roll please…
Shannon and Simon! They made a profit of $335,000. (Their reserve was $1,500,000.) They’ve also won prize money of $100,000, bringing their total takehome prize to $435,000.

Who gets the money from apartment 6?
Channel 9 I assume?
Shouldn't that apartment e sold and the proceeds be split 5 ways. Otherwise the contestants should just say stuff you when asked to complete the renovation for no return. Take note future contestants.
Channel 9 get the money! They have to recoup because it obviously costs a fortune to do this show. Every year the final challenge is to renovate some house or apartment we never see again and it's purely for network profit.....
The network recoup some of their costs every year by renovating a house or apartment we never see again although the challenge is beneficial to the contestants. If they hadn't done that apartment most of them would have one less and some Nothing at all so they'd be mad to refuse....
I do feel sorry for the three couples that didn't win very much but I think we have loss perspective due to all couples winning lots of money in last seasons. There have been other seasons where couples haven't won much...can't remember the name of them but they were those two older men who then came back for all stars. The couples this time round just expected to win hundreds of thousands when in reality it is a Tv show and nothing is guaranteed. The reserves were too high and going first is definitely an advantage but at the end of the day that's the way the cookie crumbled. I can't believe they are already going to have another season at the start of 2015. Ridiculous. The show needs a longer break than that. Congrats to the boys- their place was fantastic.
