Because it contains SPOILERS. Big, fat spoilers about the winner of The Block: Glasshouse.

But first – let’s go over what we’ve been enjoying on our TV screens for the last few months.

Five couples have had to renovate a big, ugly block into homes that are actually worth spending money on. And with a lot of blood, sweat and fancy light fixtures, they’ve managed to do exactly that.

So who was it that managed to take out the biggest profit of the series?

Who managed to take out the biggest profit after all five auctions (the order of which was chosen by teams with the most points)?

Was it Max and Karstan?

Max and Karstan’s outdoor terrace (from the 6th house that they all contributed to)

Or Dee and Darren?

Darren and Dee’s kitchen (from the 6th house that they all contributed to)

Or Chris and Jenna?

Chris and Jenna’s living room/dining room (from the 6th house that they all contributed to)

Or Shannon and Simon?

Shannon and Simon’s rooftop terrace (from the 6th house that they all contributed to)

Orrrrrr Michael and Carlene?

Michael and Carlene’s bedroom (from the 6th house that they all contributed to)

The winner is… drum-roll please…

Shannon and Simon! They made a profit of $335,000. (Their reserve was $1,500,000.) They’ve also won prize money of $100,000, bringing their total takehome prize to $435,000.

In terms of the runners-up…

Chris and Jenna made a profit of $310,000. (Their reserve was $1,500,000.)

Max and Karstan sadly made a profit of only $40,000, despite being the favourites to win. On the bright side, they did also get married on tonight’s show. (Their reserve was $1,670,000.)

Dee and Darren only made a profit of $10,000 on their apartment. (Their reserve was $1,370,000.)

Michael and Carelene also made a profit of $10,000. (Their reserve was $1,380,000.)

So. What did you think of the finale? Did Shannon and Simon deserve to win?
