Tina Fey: "If I have to listen to one more grey man tell me what rape is...."

We tried to high-5 Tina Fey through the screen of our laptops when we watched this video but merely got smudge marks on our screens.

This short but brilliant rant from the brilliant 30 Rock actress and creator was taken from her opening speech at the Center for Reproductive Right’s inaugural gala ball last week.

And who better to kick off a fundraiser for reproductive rights than Fey who let rip on her feelings about middle-aged, white men telling women how to ‘define’ rape. (That’s both ‘legitimate rape’ and ‘faux rape’  if you’re wondering, Tod Aikin).

Take a look:

Can’t watch the video?

Fey joked: “I watch these guys and I’m like what is happening? Am I a secretary on ‘Mad Men’?”

She then attempted to summarise Todd Akin’s views on pregnancy and rape but she couldn’t because, you know, Todd Akin’s views are INSANE.

“It’s making me dumber when I say it,” joked Fey. “But it’s something about the body not being able to get pregnant when it’s under physical stress. Mr. Akin I think you are confusing the phrase ‘legitimate rape’ with the phrase ‘competitive gymnastics.’”

And if you’re wondering what the Center for Reproductive Rights actually is, their website says they ‘envision a world where every woman is free to decide whether and when to have children; where every woman has access to the best reproductive healthcare available; where every woman can exercise her choices without coercion or discrimination. More simply put, we envision a world where every woman participates with full dignity as an equal member of society.’

High-five to that.

And just because we love her – a gallery of Tina…
