Catfish creator Nev Schulman is a new dad and we love his baby girl's trendy name.

Creator and host of TV show Catfish Nev Schulman and his fiancée Laura Perlongo welcomed their baby girl into the world on Friday morning.

They have named their daughter, who weighed in 6.6 pounds (3kg), Cleo James.

Best. Thing. Ever. Cleo James arrived at 6:01am weighing 6lbs 10oz. Shout out to my baby mama @el_peego for delivering this bundle of joy.

The couple seem to have followed the trend Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds set when they named their daughter James after Ryan’s late father in December 2014.

With at least two celeb offspring now featuring James in their name, I think we can officially call it a girl’s name.

In a picture posted to Instagram, Perlongo says she is “completely enamored” with her daughter.

“She’s everything.”

Ahead of Cleo’s birth, Perlongo appeared to be making the most of her pregnancy.

It seemed she didn’t want to miss out on using her pregnant belly as a Halloween accessory – dressing as a farmer a week ago.

The writer also used her baby bump as an island in the bath to create another hilarious photo.

On the image, 32-year-old Schulman commented that he was “definitely going to miss this adorable baby bump”.
