Tonight's grand finale was no exception as their sensuously spiced dishes surpassed judges' expectations to deliver a truly deserving win.

The grand finale saw the Melbourne-based sisters pitched against Adelaide couple Carmine and Lauren.

Carmine and Lauren may have been considered the season's underdogs but they earned their place after competing in more sudden-death battles than any other couple this season.

Tasia and Gracia were considered the favourites going into battle after their efforts in the semi-final earned them an almost perfect score.

MKR judge Pete Evans said their spicy soft shell crab with pickled vegetables "exceeded" his expectations, the only drawback being the dough of the steamed bun.

“The steamed bun was a little dense. The highlight of the dish though was that beautiful soft shell crab. It was crispy. Slathered in that beautiful sauce,” Pete said.

This week on The Binge, Rosie Waterland and Laura Brodnik talk to last year's winners, Steve and Will for behind the scenes goss.

The Seger sisters have announced plans to launch their own line of sauces after filming ends. The line is currently being kept under-wraps but the first batch is said to be a satay.

Hopefully it will look and taste just as delicious as those unleashed this season.
