Mamamia's Managing Director Kylie Rogers takes home top award.

The Mamamia Women’s Network is thrilled to announce our Managing Director, Kylie Rogers, has taken home one of the media industry’s top awards.

Kylie won the prestigious  Mumbrella and Publisher Australia‘s Publish Executive of the Year award on Thursday night, where she was formally recognised for her impressive contribution to the media.

Despite tough competition –  Neil Ackland from Junkee Media, Nicole Sheffield from NewsLifeMedia, Alison Rice from Allure Media and Karen Taylor-Brown from Refraction Media were all nominated – Kylie’s accomplishments impressed the judges.

In charge of day to day management at Mamamia, Kylie has also spearheaded the network’s expansion into the US, and has been a strong force in shaping Mamamia’s sister site, Spring.St.

Under Kylie’s direction the company recently celebrated four million podcast downloads, a Mamamia brand migration that resulted in a 22 percent audience growth, and a partnership with Screen Australia.

Since joining the business in July 2014, Kylie has embodied what the Mamamia Women’s Network is all about, and is a champion for women in the workplace.

Kylie has created warm and supportive culture, implementing a culture club for staff, partnering with charity SISTER2Sister and committing herself personally to fundraising in the CEO Sleepout.

“This is an incredible honour. I fell in love with Mamamia the day I arrived back in July 2014,” said Kylie.

“Thanks to my incredibly passionate and talented team we have successfully turned this business into the leading digital women’s network in Australia.

“Our goal is to continue to support, inspire and encourage women every day by giving them a second home – a place where they can come to laugh, love and learn through brilliant content.”

Chairman and co-founder Jason Lavigne said:  “Kylie was up against predictably stiff competition, but given her achievements at MWN in the past year, she would have been, and ultimately was impossible to beat.”

Co-founder and creative director Mia Freedman said: “Kylie is the most inspiring executive I’ve ever worked with and she also has the most infectious laugh and the best hair, especially when it’s pink.”

We are incredibly proud of Kylie, and can’t wait to see what’s in store for MWN under her brilliant leadership.
