Mum of 12 "not saying no" to more siblings for Passion Brinessa Ajayla Quinatee

The Newcastle mother of 12 who gave birth to the poetically named Passion Brinessa Ajayla Quinatee Martin (read iVillage's previous story on the family here) earlier this month has confessed she doesn't rule out having more kids.

Brinessa Martin has told The Newcastle Herald: ‘‘I don’t think I’ll have any more. But I’m not saying no, because I’ve said that before.’’

In the meantime, she’s pretty exhausted just keeping up with the 11 kids she’s currently caring for alone – the eldest, Samantha, 19, now lives in Queensland – after her marriage broke up last year.

Brinessa gets up at 5am every day to help bathe, clothe and feed her younger children, including Brandi Shyla Molly Robyn, 8, Indigo Raindrop Sapphire, 6, Cruz Richard, 5, Clayton Adam Logan, 4, and Diammond Sparckle Zedekeyah Lilly Ann, 3.

Adding to her daily challenges, son Cruz has cerebral palsy.

The Newcastle Herald reveals that the family is blended from previous relationships, but Brinessa says her children aren't bothered by having different fathers.

‘‘They don’t treat each other differently,’’ she said. ‘‘They don’t see each other as a half brother or half sister.’’
