This might be the most beautiful wedding dance you'll ever see.

This is possibly the most beautiful wedding dance you’ll ever see.

And while the groom, Luke Rheault, is centre stage, his bride is on the sidelines.

Filmed in late 2008, it shows Luke dancing with his mother Rebekah, who had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease a year before.

LIKE Debrief Daily on Facebook.

Motor Neurone Disease wastes nerves and muscles and impacts movement, speech, breathing and swallowing. At the time of wedding, Rebekah was confined to a wheelchair and her movement restricted.

Luke pushes his mum onto the dance floor as Mariah Carey’s Hero plays.

What happens next is spellbinding

"I wanted her to feel so special in that very moment, so I tried to make the best of it and spin her around and continue smiling with her," Luke told the Huffington Post.

Watch the beautiful video here, and a warning: you will most definitely need tissues:

Less than a year later after this dance, Rebekah passed away.

The video was kept for six years before the couple decided to upload it to YouTube. In four months it has had more than nine million views.

What special moments have you seen at a wedding?

Why not try....

‘My mother might leave me. But she can’t. She’s my mother.’

My mother dies. Nothing changes, Everything changes.

‘Death spoke to me and it was the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard.’
