The Herald Sun reports the couple's wedding was an intimate ceremony in front of 100 close family and friends at a family friend's Toorak mansion.

Hope wore a custom black tuxedo from Melbourne designer Effie Kats, while Carlstrom chose a white Toni Maticevski wedding gown.

“It’s everything we ever wanted in a wedding. No disrespect to tradition, but it’s not very traditional,” Hope told the publication.

“We just want it to be very personal and really nice. It’s like a big beautiful party.”

Hope's sister Lavinia, who Hope cares for full-time, played a special role in the wedding as the couple's flower girl and ring bearer. She also received her own special ring so she could feel like part of the day.

Hope and Carlstrom first met in 2017 at a friend's birthday party. Speaking to Mia Freedman on Mamamia’s No Filter podcast, Hope said the attraction was immediate.

“I knew straight away it was not going to be anything short term,” she said.

Carlstrom proposed to Hope on October 4, 2018, and despite the unorthodox location – a cemetery – she dubbed it the “perfect” proposal.

“I told her that if she ever wanted to marry me she had to ask my dad… So she asked me to marry her at my Dad’s tombstone, so he was there when she asked me,” Hope shared in an Instagram post.

“It could never, ever get anymore perfect then this…. I said yes. Wedding bells are here.”

Hope has also spoken openly about the couple's plans to start a family.

“I want to have a family and [Isabella] also wants a family. It’s something we’re actually talking about right now," she told Freedman.

“I’d love to have three [kids], but I think we’d be blessed to have any kids. I think kids are beautiful.”

As for who will be carrying their child, they’re planning on taking it in turns, depending on their careers.

At the time of their recording in September 2018, Moana was playing for the North Melbourne Football Club in the AFLW, however she was delisted at the end of the 2019 season. She currently plays for Melbourne’s Williamstown FC, which is apart of the Victorian Football League.

“For me personally, moving forward, I want to play football for 10 more years,” she explained.

“[Bella] will carry our first little one, which I have wanted a child forever, so I’m super excited about that.”

According to the Herald Sun, the couple will be in Melbourne for the rest of the month before honeymooning in Mexico and the United States next month.

Congratulations Moana and Isabella!
