MKR’s self-proclaimed “cougar” talked about their sex life last night.

Forget about the food — last night’s premiere episode of My Kitchen Rules was all about meeting the contestants and the ensuing ~drama~.

The pair that caused the biggest stir? The self-proclaimed “cougar and cub” couple from Brisbane, 26-year-old Matt and 50-year-old Cheryl.

To save you getting out your calculator, that’s an age gap of 24 years — a difference that led fellow contestants to quickly assume the pair were mother and son, which Cheryl was quick to dispel.

“We’re dating. I’m 50, Matt’s 26, let’s just get that out of the way. Maybe I’m a cougar, but that’s alright,” she said.

And yes, she’s got his parent’s tick of approval.

“Don’t laugh, because Matt’s mum and I are best friends,” she said.

The pair, who have been together for 18 months, met in a Brisbane casino and say they’re not intimidated by people’s judgement.

“I’m a cougar and proud of it. We’re always shocking people. They shake their heads and are like ‘You two!’. We don’t have many boundaries,” Cheryl told NW this week.

Proving their sex life is saucier than poor Monique and Sarah’s sticky date pudding last night, the couple dished up way too much information about their sex life.

"He's always on! Every day. Sometimes a two or three times a day. It's awesome. He keeps himself very healthy and very well maintained, I must say. He's got loads of energy and the libido thing is switched on all the time which is absolutely fabulous," she told NW.

"I love him, he makes me feel young."

It's not just limited to the bedroom either. "I remember the first time Matt cooked for me and he got lucky that night. Our food is a fantastic aphrodisiac," she said during the show, before Matt revealed he usually cooks naked. Right.

And just in case you hadn't quite understand that they're a COUGAR COUPLE, fortunately the show's producers were on hand to really drive it home, with a montage of Matt cleaning the pool topless under Cheryl's watchful eye, intertwined ice cream licking and sucking strawberries.

Cringe-worthy cliches aside, the couple seem genuinely loved-up.

"I enjoy an intellectual person and someone I can have fun and be an idiot with," said Matt.

"We want to say to everyone out there that age doesn't matter. Why should a number make a difference about who you're with, who you enjoy your time with and how you go through life. Society shouldn’t dictate that," said Cheryl in a press release.
