The note this mother found in her daughter’s journal will make every parent's blood run cold.

The missing teen.

UPDATE:

Angelic ‘Anji’ Dean, the 17-year-old cheerleader who left a chilling note in her journal before disappearing, has been found alive at a nearby mall.

More than two weeks after she went missing from her Washington home, the teen was found at the Clackamas Town Center outside Portland, Oregon on Wednesday, according to authorities.

Police said they received over 150 phone tips before locating Anji and reuniting her with family.

Sargent Kevin Allais said in a press release the investigation was ongoing.

“This is an active investigation that includes the crime of human trafficking,” he said in a press release.

Anji’s mother, Lynda Jorgensen said that she was “very thankful” to have her daughter back safely, according to The Columbian.

Previously Mamamia wrote:

“If you’re reading this I’m either missing or dead,” Angelic Tracy Dean wrote in her journal.

Sometime after that, between 9:00 and 10:30pm on June 23, the 17-year-old, best known as ‘Anji’, left her Washington family home.

When her mother came down to say goodnight at 10:40 that night, Anji was gone. She hasn’t been seen since — and fears for her wellbeing have now been exacerbated by her mother Lynda Jorgenson’s discovery of the chilling journal entry.

“We have no idea where she is or who she’s with,” Anji’s mother told KGW. “She can’t be doing this on her own, so we’re really, really afraid for her.”

Jorgenson believes her daughter may be a victim of sex trafficking — and the National Women’s Coalition against Violence and Exploitation’s president, who’s working with the family and detectives on the disturbing case, shares that concern.

“I don’t believe she left thinking she was running away,” coalition president Michelle Bart said.

“I believe after speaking with law enforcement and the detective on the case that we may be dealing with a human trafficking situation here in Clark county,” she said.

Several concerning events prior to the former cheerleader’s disappearance may hold clues.

Authorities have discovered a cell phone Anji’s parents didn’t know she had, and are analysing the device.

The teenager had also told teachers and counsellors she was in something that she couldn’t get out of in the months before her disappearance, her mother said.

Texts sent by Anji the night she vanished, including one to her boyfriend reading, “(t)hey were going to kill you and my family.. And I loved you,” are also being analysed.

Her boyfriend is cooperating with detectives.

Anji left behind her clothes and her eyeglasses, which she uses to see.

Bart said that signalled the girl had intended to return.

“She left everything that one would take with them if they were running away from the safety of their own home,” said Bart.

A neighbour reported seeing Anji, who was last seen wearing exercise clothes and white Nike tennis shoes, getting out of a stranger’s car filled with people at about 4:30pm, according to NBC.

The driver has been described as a black man with a goatee between the ages of 25-35. He is now wanted by police for questioning.
