"No. No … Just back off," he told New York magazine after the idea of a Sam-and-Taylor love connection was proposed. "I don’t keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right?"
"What a way to build a career," said Fox.
When asked how he would react if Sam brought her over to meet the family he said: "I wouldn’t even know who she was."
But it'd probably dawn on him after the breakup song hit the radio. "Yeah, exactly," he said. "'Sam, You Piece of Sh*t.' Oh … that was the girl you brought home!"
UPDATE: Michael J. Fox has since apologised to Taylor Swift – the singer tweeted "we are good" and thanked her fans for their support.
