Melissa George hospitalised in Paris following alleged assault by partner.

 

Australian actress Melissa George has been hospitalised in Paris, following an alleged assault by her partner of four years.

According to French outlet Pure People, the 40-year-old reported to police in the 8th arrondissement with pain, dizziness and bruising to her face.

She was taken to Cochin Hospital for assessment.

Pure People is reporting that the injuries were allegedly caused by George’s long-term boyfriend, Jean-David Blanc, however French police are yet to announce any charges being laid in relation to the incident.

The 38-year-old French businessman is the founder of cinema service organisation AlloCiné and the father of George’s two young children, Raphaël and Solal.

The pair began dating in 2012, having met the year prior at a BAFTA after-party. She was previously married to Chilean film director Caludio Dabed, whom she divorced in 2011.

The Perth-born actress first rose to fame as a teenager on Home & Away, but more recently earned credits on hit Hollywood shows including Alias and Grey’s Anatomy. George also starred in both the Australian and US versions of The Slap.
