Stars from Game of Thrones and Hunger Games in a love story you won't forget.

OK, I know that Emilia Clarke isn’t actually the mother of several ill-tempered dragons, or anyone else, for that matter. She’s a 26-year-old actress.

Still, watching her wearing patterned tights and Etsy-worthy frocks is such a dramatic change from the ice-cold, white-blonde Daenerys Targaryen.

Clarke, 26, is starring in the adaptation of Jojo Moyes’ hugely popular book Me Before You with The Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin, 29.

She says that despite her strong-woman roles to date, she’s actually much more like her Me Before You character Louisa than any ass-kicking queen.

“It’s funny with these strong female roles,” Clarke told USA Today. “I’m really quite clumsy, say the wrong thing all the time and am awkward at the best of times. My friends and family have seen this other person every single day.”

Clarke and Claflin star in the romantic tear-jerker and we think there’s a fair chance you’ll resemble someone who’s been cutting onions after you see it.

He plays Will Traynor, a wealthy man paralysed in his prime in a car accident, and she plays Louisa Clark, an unambitious 20-something who is hired to be his carer after a string of other jobs don’t quite work out.

They annoy each other intensely… until they don’t.

Watch it and try not to cry.
