1. “You are characters on a TV show.” Mishel and Connie on what filming MAFS is really like.

Contestants from this year’s season of Married At First Sight have opened up about what filming the controversial series is really like.

“You are characters on a TV show. You play a character on a TV show. That I cannot stress enough,” Connie said during an Instagram live chat.

“You’re a real person but you are still a character. With some creative editing they can make you look however they want,” she continued.

“Just because you’re not a villain doesn’t mean you can’t be portrayed in a negative way.

“I kind of wish it was like Big Brother and there were cameras rolling 24/7, because when the cameras were off and there were no producers around and it was just Jonnie and I cooking dinner together, or sitting on the couch, watching telly together, those conversations we were having then and there, that was real.”

Mishel added the ways in which producers would manipulate the scenarios, saying: “They wouldn’t let me have a cup of tea with you [Connie]. They’d bring in someone else you don’t want to talk to.”

Connie agreed, before adding: “Knowing what I know now, about what really goes on behind the scenes, and what their real intentions are, I wouldn’t have done it.”

“I didn’t do my homework beforehand. I wasn’t fully prepared for what I was getting myself into.”

Kailtynn Carter has opened up about her split from Miley Cyrus.

The two dated for one month in August 2019, after Cyrus' divorce from Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and Carter's separation from her husband Brody Jenner.

"What happened to me, basically just after Miley and I went our separate ways, I thought, ‘OK, my life’s just kinda going back to the way it normally was for me when I’m on my own'," Carter said in an Instagram live with her The Hills: New Beginnings co-star Whitney Port.

"I had no expectations that anyone would give a s**t about me by myself. I had no plan in place. I didn’t think about anything," the 31-year-old continued.

"I was just so mortified. The narrative was so not what the actual situation was and that was such a wake-up call for me.

"I had never thought about what my narrative even was or what it was going to be. I had always gone with the flow or whatever people say they say, I don’t care. I have always taken a back seat a little bit and sort of trusted the person I’m with to run the show, especially publicly because it’s never really been something that I wanted," Carter added.

4. Oh. According to Hilary Duff, Lizzie McGuire doesn't want Paolo in the reboot.

It's been 15 years since the Lizzie McGuire Movie first came out and many of us will still remember the harsh lesson it taught us about love and trusting Italian singers named Paolo.

But not to worry, it seems Hilary Duff isn't forgetting the way Paolo played with her our young hearts.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress shared her thoughts on whether the character would be reappearing in the upcoming reboot series.

"There were plans for a lot of people to be in the show. So, um, I already know some of those things but I don’t know about Paolo. I think she’d probably be pretty mad to see him," Hilary told the publication.

And honestly, we couldn't agree more.

As for Lizzie and Gordo, Hilary pretty much confirmed the pair sadly don't end up together.

“Ah! I feel like them not being together is what was so good,” she told Vulture in September. “It’s that one person that you’re like, Was he the one? Is it ever going to be? You’re always kind of wondering. We wanted it to hurt everyone a little bit, and it’ll continue to hurt.”

Either way, we're excited for the reboot to eventually hit our screens.

Karl Stefanovic has given a rare reflection on his public divorce from Cassandra Thorburn, his subsequent marriage to Jasmine Yarbrough, and the salacious reporting around the media circus that was.

The journalist, who returned to the Today show at the start of the year, separated from Thorburn, his wife of 21 years and the mother of their three children, in 2016.

Five months following the separation, the Channel Nine presenter met shoe-designer Yarbrough, a decade his junior, while onboard a luxury cruise ship in Sydney. In December 2018, the couple married in Mexico.

"She’s been through so much. She’s been pilloried and accused of things that didn’t happen," Stefanovic said of his now-wife, who is currently pregnant with their first child together, in a new interview with Stellar magazine.

"It’s not her fault she fell in love with bugalugs, and the accusations were wrong about her stealing me from Cassandra. It’s rubbish and it’s hurtful.

"She’s just a beautiful, sweet woman from Queensland who runs a business and fell in love with me."
