A fashion blogger recreated our favourite Met Gala fashion on a very cheap budget.

The Met Gala is all about fashion in the extreme. It is an undeniable highlight in the couture calendar. The ornate fabrics, embellishments and accessories.

This year, the theme was technology and unsurprisingly, it inspired a lot of metallic texture in the red-carpet looks. From Taylor Swifts rocker-chic mini dress to Kate Hudson’s  laser cut leather, the fashion was undeniable ornate, and undoubtedly very, very, VERY expensive.

Check out the best looks from the 2016 Met Gala. Post continues after gallery…

But Brazilian blogger João Paulo has shown all the celebrities how it is done, recreating their looks for less. A lot less.

Sticky-tape, bin bags, towels and tin-foil. Who knew you could be every bit as glamorous as Gigi using only items found around the house.

Fierce. So fierce.

But this isn’t the first time Paulo has shared his sartorial skill with the world. He has got some serious form, taking on award show looks, Instagram models, pop-culture icons and music super-stars. João Paulo has taken them all on.

And I think it’s fair to say he won.

João Paulo has over 415 thousand followers and if he keeps it up, it would be fair to say that number will continue to grow.

Slay, João Paulo. Slay.
