A Chinese satellite looking for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has found what is suspected to be a possible crash site.
The images have been posted by China’s State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry. They were taken Sunday – the day after Flight MH370 went missing – and they appear to show pieces of wreckage in the water. The sattelite spotted three items in the sea, the largest of which was 24m by 22m in size.
CNN reported that “The Chinese agency gave coordinates of 105.63 east longitude, 6.7 north latitude, which would put it in waters northeast of where it took off in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and south of Vietnam.”
If these are pieces of Flight MH370 wreckage, that would indicate that the flight was on the correct flight path when it went missing – contrary to reports that the plane had drastically changed direction.
