"I need to go to the... bathroom." 9 moments you may have missed in last night's MAFS.

We’re two episodes into the 2020 season of Married at First Sight and so much has happened.

Four couples have gotten hitched, t-shirts have been sniffed in the name of science and the foundation for the next 12 weeks of drama has been laid.

Tuesday night’s episode was especially action packed. We saw the wedding of MAFS’ first lesbian couple, Tash and Amanda, and the experts couldn’t have been prouder, while Sydney North Shore duo – Mikey and Natasha – also said I do.

You probably remember the above plot points, however, here are the nine smaller details you might have missed in the episode.

Behold:

1. Poppy joking about her ‘reaction to commitment’.

It’s the day after the first round of weddings and Poppy has woken up with a little pimple on her face. However, instead of applying a zit sticker and moving on, the mum-of-two decided it was time for some of her choice humour.

Lest we all forget about the joke in which her ex-husband “tripped and fell and landed in his co-worker’s vagina”.

If you need a little reminder, you can relive that delightful moment in the video below. Post continues.

Upon waking, Poppy turns to her new husband Luke and says: “I feel like my face is infected. What is that? A reaction to commitment?”

And Poppy, you literally low-key nearly walked out on your own wedding reception yesterday. It is too soon to be making these jokes.

2. The experts got too excited about having their first lesbian couple.

You see, the experts are really excited they're able to include a lesbian couple this season. It makes them seem progressive and woke plus, The Bachelor franchise have already had at least two bi-sexual contestants (with a few queer-baity ads to match) and it's time for their 'social experiment' to catch up.

However, relationship coach John Aiken got too excited.

Speaking about one-half of the same-sex couple, Amanda, he said the Victorian strength coach was one of the "strongest personalities" we've had on the experiment and John please...

3. This dude.

We meet this dude during Tash's introduction package and it was awkward for everybody involved. But mainly him.

We can only assume his role in the show was 'man who tries to hit on lesbian bartender' and our ovaries are cringing.

In all honesty, they probably found him from the same acting agency as some show's sketchier contestants (yes we're talking about Troy), but we admire his dedication to the show.

4. Davina... is that you?

Is it just us or does Natasha really look like Davina from the 2018's season of Married at First Sight? AKA the one who cheated on her fake-husband Ryan with Tracey's fake-husband, Dean.

Let us refresh your memory.

5. We must talk about Natasha's mum's wedding outfit.

While you were probably engrossed in Natasha's back story and *ahem* very evident father issues, we were busy staring at her mum's impeccable wedding outfit.

From the lace cardigan, tulle black and white skirt and turtleneck, it's a little Morticia Adam's inspired and obviously the choice outfit one wears to her daughter's wedding.

We need her back later in the season, please.

6. Amanda tries to have an intimate and vulnerable chat with her mother... in front of a film crew.

WE DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Taking place in her kitchen, Amanda attempts to surprise her mum and tell her she's about to get married on reality TV. Of course, Amanda's mum is probably not actually all the surprised due to the permission slip she probably had to sign and the 83 Channel 9 crew members who are currently squeezed into her kitchen.

However, she tries to be a good sport and goes along with things. She pretends to look disappointed but in reality, she probably spent the afternoon shopping for the dress she plans on wearing to her daughter's fake wedding.

7. Natasha's invited her hairdresser to her wedding?

Speaking of breaking stereotypes... Meet Lincoln. Lincoln is Natasha's hairdresser who was given the job of grilling Mikey because... well... we don't know.

Upon arriving to their ceremony, he sees Mikey and immediately goes: "Nup. She's not going to like him" and it's like dude... you barely made the invite list.

Later at the reception, Lincoln continues his snarky streak and he decides to have a little chat with Mikey, mainly about how he needs to 'step up' and become an alpha male.

"Natasha is a really strong personality and she needs someone just as strong," he says.

Mikey then tries to convince Lincoln that he is 'an alpha' before escaping the conversation to 'go to the bathroom'.

8. Ok, Amanda just melted our hearts with her weddings vows.

This is important, so we've transcribed it verbatim.

To the brave woman that stands before me today, as gay women we've likely had to fight for who we are
just that bit harder than most.

Thank you for having the courage to have acted in spite of fear and taking a chance at blind faith. It takes true strength in character to quiet the non-believers behind your decision to partake such a risky, risky experiment, trusted into the hands of the experts.

A lot of people seem to think I'm here for the wrong reasons based on decisions I've had to make in order to be here today. However, I'm not here to prove anyone wrong but I am here to prove myself right, that by following your gut, even at the risk of hurting others, one has a real chance to find a true equal.

When you miss home, I'll be there to hold your hand. When you're excited, I'll jump for joy with you.

I need you to know, hand on heart, we will try our best to make this work and not give up that easily.

I have a million emotions right now, yet only one hope that despite what outcome happens before us,

may we have the time of our lives and potentially continue

In reality, both Amanda and Tash will probably descend into shouting, cheating (maybe), drink throwing et al. but at least they had this moment together. Cute.

9. Tash's bridesmaids should work for ASIO because they are terrifying.

In a completely unnecessary twist of events, Tash's bridesmaid decide to take it upon themselves to ruin what was a really nice moment.

Maybe Ashley and Rachel were annoyed they had to wear matching hair clips, maybe 'red' isn't their colour, maybe it was the free drink, however Tash's friends decide to corner her wife for 'the chat'.

"I was surprised you wanted to talk to Tash's family but didn't want to come to me and Rachel and then you kind of walked straight past us," said Ashley (the one with grey hair) TO AMANDA'S FACE.

She then asks Amanda if she's 'gone to jail for fraud' and wow, someone definitely won't be invited back on the show.
