Lynette Daley death: Men accused of beach death plead not guilty.

By Antoinette Lattouf

Two men have pleaded not guilty to charges over the death of Lynette Daley in 2011 on Ten Mile Beach Beach, northern NSW.

Adrian Attwater — who told police he was Ms Daley’s boyfriend at the time — and Paul Maris had been on an alcohol-fuelled camping trip with the mother-of-two when she died.

Today at the Supreme Court in Sydney, Attwater pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and aggravated sexual assault, and Maris plead not guilty to being an accessory to both counts.

Family and friends of Ms Daley burst into tears as they heard the pleas.

Outside court, a group of supporters held banners calling for an end to violence against women.

A six-week trial was scheduled for July 24 next year, but a location is yet to be set.
