Let’s be honest. There’s nothing worse than the first week back at work after the Christmas break.

If you’re in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra today, chances are that it’s raining and you’re probably miserable.

Perhaps your umbrella has already flipped itself inside out and you’re walking around with soggy socks in the middle of Summer.

Maybe you slept through your alarm or your favourite lunch spot still hasn’t opened up again after Christmas.

Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are, you’d probably be happier if you were still on holiday.

And then there’s that pesky Instagram problem. Chances are, a handful of your friends have taken an extended summer holiday and are living it up overseas somewhere.

Enter New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde. She says what we were all feeling with one perfect Instagram post that describes the anguish of scrolling through your feed while everyone you know is on holiday.
