Superb tailoring, crisp, clean lines and great bursts of colour all effortlessly working together in what was really an impeccably styled Oroton show. It seems that the flair of fashion goddess Taylor Tomasi-Hill, who styled the latest campaign and Fashion Week collection, is still there.
Featuring a lineup of David Jones Youth Ambassador Samantha Harris, current Men Style cover-girl Cheyenne Tozzi, Rachel Rutt and Alice Burdeu, here is a look at some of the trends for the upcoming Spring/Summer season:
Not as in your face as royal blue, yet not as demure as navy blue, cobalt is a colour that should definitely be embraced come the sunny days. It adds just the right amount of splash to an outfit and can be maxed out in an allover blue ensemble (like Oroton has demonstrated), or injected into an outfit by means of a cute little satchel or piece of jewellery.
Like our sunburnt country, a little bit of this carrot-like orange can add a little ray of heat to your wardrobe. Best when teamed with tan (but the world’s your oyster), it’ll really drill it in the fact that summer’s finally here.
Gone are the days of boots and crocs. There is an element of casual playfulness in this season’s footwear, be it flats or heels. A little wedge will dress your outfit down and the cute sandals will have you looking beach-friendly all year long.
