It’s coming.
The very first trailer for season three of The Bachelor has been released, and everything is as it should be.
There’s the bachelor, Sam Wood, his white teeth gleaming mesmerisingly, speaking earnestly about his desire to find the love of his life.
And then there’s his harem the girls, each more beautiful than the last and possessed of a wardrobe that consists solely of evening wear and bikinis.
“If you told me five years ago I was going to be Australia’s next bachelor, I would have laughed at you,” Wood says.

“This is by far the craziest thing I’ve ever done for love. In fact, it’s probably the craziest thing I’ve ever done.”
In the 90-second teaser, the 34-year-old personal trainer from Tassie professes to be just a “laid-back, regular Aussie guy” looking for love.
And though I am inwardly scoffing, let’s recall that season one’s Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich are still together.
And while last year’s winner Sam Frost was unceremoniously dumped after the show, bach Blake Garvey took up with her runner-up Louise Pillidge and the two are apparently also still seeing each other.
Wood says in the video that he knew the ladies would be smokin’ hot (writer’s words, he said “beautiful” or something boring) but he didn’t know quite how much fun they’d be.

He may well be smart and lovely, but the Bachelor is a very superficial show - so why have they chosen SUCH an unattractive man?? Tim and Blake I would have competed for. This guy? Unless he immediately revealed himself to be a legend I wouldn't let him buy me a drink at a bar!
