It's Mardi Gras - so here's the most joyous video you'll see this weekend.

These are the champions.

In the lead up to the parade for Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2015, Australian drag acts, sports people and singers have played tribute to the one and only Freddie Mercury.

Don’t stop them. Because they’re havin’ a good time (havin’ a good time).

They have done so in the best possible way, with a highly choreographed, flashmob-esque medley/mashup in Darling Harbour. And it’s sensational.

Your favourite Queen songs are all there, including: Somebody to Love, Don’t Stop Me Now, We Will Rock you. As are copious moustaches, spandex, glitter and tight-and-bright, yellow playtex. It is Mardi Gras after all.

We’ve no doubt the man himself would approve. Here is the video:

This fabulous tribute to the wonders of Queen and the late, great Freddie stars Olympic diver Matt Mitcham, drag king Rocco D’amore and members of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian choir.

The festival has been running since February 20th and wraps up this Sunday March 8th.

Did you attend Mardi Gras 2015? What was your highlight?
