Laurina is back! But where has she been since The Bach?

One of the most glorious things about Channel 10’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here is watching the celebrities slowly try to figure out what their cast mates are actually famous for.

From comedian Akmal Saleh mistaking Bonnie Lythgoe for Rupert Murdoch’s fiance Jerry Hall to Prisoner‘s Val Lehman not recognising singer and actor Dean Geyer, there was one contestant who needed no introduction.

And it wasn’t Shane Warne.

Laurina Fleure finally returned to our television screens last night, but what has everybody’s favourite former Bachelor contestant been up to since we last saw her fabulous face grace our screens in 2014?

She was turned down from The Bachelorette for being ‘too ambitious’.

Laurina was widely touted to be Australia’s first Bachelorette last year but later told news.com.au that production company Shine decided Laurina wasn’t right for the role due to her business aspirations.

“They wanted me to bullshit them and say, ‘no, no, my single, only priority in life is finding love’, and I couldn’t tell them what they wanted to hear,” the Pialia Boutique owner said of the audition experience.

She’s found love.

Laurina may not have had her pick of 14 men on The Bachelorette, but that hasn’t stopped her from finding love, meeting her match in businessman Lewis Romano, who she has been dating since last October.

And it seems her new romance has been lavish enough to make The Bachelor dates look like a walk in the park, with Laurina and Lewis falling in love after running off to Rome together.

She’s had an operation to correct a twisted intestine.

Late last year, Fleure revealed an impressive scar across her stomach on Instagram following an operation she had to correct a twisted intestine.

talking to the Daily Mail, Fleure described the operation, which left her bedridden for six weeks, as more painful than a gunshot wound while.

“When I was a baby I had a twisted intestine, which is pretty much a bowel obstruction, and because the intestine twists up nothing can pass through and you get really bad cramps and inflammation,” she said.

“They cut me open and I have this big scar on my tummy since I was a baby but for some reason 30 years later the scar tissue inside my gut from that operation caused another adhesion.”

In true Laurina fashion, the reality star didn’t let the scar get her down, saying it’s kinda sexy to have a GI-Jane style scar.

She’s been hanging out with other reality TV stars.

Those Melbourne ladies have to stick together. While many of her Bachelor co-stars are notably absent from Laurina’s Instagram feed, she has been pictured hanging out with The Real Housewives of Melbourne stars.

Maybe when I’m A Celebrity wraps up, Laurina can score herself a gig besides the RHOM ladies.

She’s been dabbling in the media.

While Laurina has her hands full by day running her boutique, she’s also been trying her hand in the media, scoring herself a column covering The Bachelor in NW magazine and doing live crosses for Ten during the Melbourne Fashion Festival.

She’s been on what looks like a non stop holiday.

Like most former Bachelor contestants, Laurina’s life looks like a never-ending holiday. From her romantic jaunt to Rome with her new beau to getaways to Bali and Hamilton Island, her new home in the African jungle seems far from the luxury that Laurina is accustomed to when she’s away from home.

While the I’m A Celebrity camp site isn’t exactly five star digs, if Laurina’s performance in her first Tucker Trial is anything to go by, she may be staying in the jungle for quite some time.
