TV presenter Laura Csortan has welcomed her baby girl, and her name is exquisite.

“Welcome to the world my angel.”

TV presenter Laura Csortan welcomed her first child into the world on Thursday and has just given fans a glimpse of her newborn daughter.

The 39-year-old announced her daughter’s birth with a gorgeous photo posted to Instagram and Twitter. She chose the name Layla Rose — so poetic, it has us wanting to sing Eric Clapton’s famous song Layla.

“Welcome to the world my angel,” she captioned the image.

“Never felt a love quite like it.”

It’s not so surprising the model and actress elected not to share her daughter’s face with her first picture.

The former Miss Universe has been private about her pregnancy.  When she made the announcement in June she chose not to name the father, saying only that she would be a single mum.

Telling Women’s Day about her plans, Csortan said she couldn’t be happier about her pregnancy.

“It’s exciting. It was unexpected but I’m very happy about it,” she said.

The father of the child was said to have split with the former beauty queen before she knew about the pregnancy.

Csortan told the The Daily Telegraph that she was enjoying pregnancy, despite suffering some morning sickness.

She said there was “nothing better than those precious little kicks”.
