Kylie: “I don’t know what it was like for other women in his life but my love for him remains".

Aussie popstar Kylie Minogue is in the country (for Mardi Gras obviously) says she still loves controversial INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.

In an exclusive interview with News Corp, Kylie Minogue has personally reviewed the popular INXS telemovie and confessed that she still loves Michael Hutchence. The 45-year-old Aussie singer says that the portrayal of her relationship with the controversial INXS frontman in the telemovie was pitch perfect.

Kylie also said that she’s still in love with Hutchence, who died in 1997:

“I don’t know what it was like for other women in his life but my love for him remains. It’s good everyone’s love (for him) has been reinvigorated after the show. Having just come back into Australia and seen the chart and seen everyone have such passion for INXS again is fantastic.”

Kylie said it as been impossible to let go of their relationship because ‘a guy with that

Hutchence and Paula Yate's place for dinner.

Kylie says the telemovie scene where she first meets Hutchence and he boldly states 'I didn't know whether to ask you to lunch or to have sex' is surprisingly accurate, saying that the portrayal of their conversation was 'almost exactly correct.'

According to Kylie, it was a nice change having a female actress play her because she's so used to drag queens:

'Normally they're six-feet and wearing more make-up than me! I think it was great casting. I think Samantha Jade did a fantastic job [who played Kylie Minogue in the telemovie]. It's quite hard to think 'Was I like that?' but I think she got it just right, I wasn't too big a part of the story anyway.'

The INXS telemovie has certainly renewed Australia's love for the Michael and Kylie. So much so that we think a grown up Jason Donovan should be watching his back. Kylie is set to be a judge on Australia's The Voice later this year and even performed a surprise gig at Sydney's Beresford Hotel last night.

Kylie took to the stage in front of 300 people at 10:30pm to sing her new single, Into The Blue.

Did you watch the INXS telemovie? What did you think of Samantha Jade's portrayal of Kylie? Did you think the telemovie captured the romance between Kylie and Michael Hutchence?
