Former Blockheads, Kyal and Kara just sold their home for a record profit.

The Super K’s went to auction again. And this time they won.

They were a formidable duo on last year’s season of The Block Fans vs Faves, and now Kyal and Kara Demmrich have shown off their renovating skills once more.

The former Blockheads, whose four-bedroom Killarney Vale house went to auction on Tuesday night, have walked away with a cool $735,000 profit and set a new record for their street. The property was sold by George Brand Avoca Beach. After spending the past six years renovating the Central Coast home, Kyal and Kara sold the property for almost $150,000 more than the previous record sale on Carlyon Street.

Kyal and Kara purchased the former three-bedroom cottage back in 2008.

The pair's laid-back personalities shine through in the design of the home, which features Australian Walnut timber flooring throughout, ample natural light and a fresh colour palette.

The home also boasts two bedrooms, an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, and is set on a 715 square metre block.

The spacious open living, dining and kitchen area has stone benches and high ceilings.

The property attracted huge amounts of interest from serious buyers and curious locals, real estate agent Penny Hancock told The Daily Telegraph.

"It’s definitely been the most intense auction campaign we’ve done so far ... even having to call on friends and family to assist in crowd control and security at open houses,” she said.

Many in the crowd hoped to get some inspiration for their own home projects. Take a look for yourself... (post continues after the gallery)

Despite a heated auction the home finally went to a family from Clovelly, in Sydney's Eastern suburbs, who are keen to relocate north to be closer to family. And the new owners love the home so much that they're now in negotiations for the furnishings to be included in the final sale price as well.

As for the Super K's? Well, they have plans to do it all again.

"Kyal and Kara are ready for a new project," Ms Hancock said.

Rumour is that the couple have already started work on a new project in nearby Bateau Bay - and we can't wait to see that one either.
