“The most beautiful girl in the world” is moving to LA after landing a lucrative modelling gig. Oh, and she's 10.

Kristina Pimenova – whose ethereal looks earned her the hefty title of “the most beautiful girl in the world” – has scored a lucrative modelling contract at the tender age of ten.

And now the Russian child model, who kicked off her career at three, is packing up to move to the glitzy world of Los Angeles.

The ten-year-old, who has starred in campaigns for designers Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli, signed with prestigious agencies L.A. Models and New York Model Management, Huffington Post reports.

But the youngster’s career is not free of controversies, with many claiming that she is being sexualised in the images and the comments they attract, including references to her as “hot” and “babe”.

Kristina has close to four million Facebook followers and 1.2 million followers on Instagram, but her mother, 40-year-old former model Glikeriya Pimenova, insists she does all the posting on social media.

In many images, Kristina models children’s clothing and is makeup free, but detractors point to personal photos shared of the girl in bathers or bed as being inappropriate.

But her mother hit out at critics, telling The Daily Mail they are the sick ones. “I am certain in my mind all her photographs are absolutely innocent,” she said.
