The photo we may never again see on Kim Kardashian's Instagram feed.

Forget everything you thought you knew about the world and how it works. Because Kim Kardashian just delivered an earth-shattering revelation unexpected opinion about selfies.

The Queen of the Selfie – never forget she once released an entire book dedicated to pictures she had taken of herself – has officially declared that selfies are “a few years ago”.

In a clip posted by Keeping Up With The Kardashians on Twitter, Kim and younger sister Khloe play a game of ‘Would You Rather?’

“Would you rather never be able to post a selfie or never be able to Snapchat again?” Khloe asks Kim.

Listen: Kim K mentioned off-handedly that she has ‘body dysmorphia’. Can a woman who posts naked selfies on Instagram claim that? The Mamamia Out Loud team discuss. Post continues after audio.

Before we can all scream FAR OUT KHLOE, KIM NEEDS SELFIES LIKE WE NEED OXYGEN, the 36-year-old makes a shock admission.

“I would rather never be able to post a selfie again,” she says.

“I kinda feel like selfies are kind of a few years ago.”

Oh. Oh no you didn’t Kimmy K. You just not just throw selfies under the bus.

To prove we aren’t mildly overreacting, even Khloe seemed a little shocked by her sister’s response.

To be fair, we shouldn't really be surprised by Kim's declaration of the death of the selfie, considering the last one she posted to Instagram was way back in July.

Since then, Kim's carefully curated feed (she did, after all, ask for help from her followers to make it look pristine) has mostly been made up of filtered fashion snaps, close-ups of accessories and adorable pictures of her two kids.

It does seem, however, that Kim's own sisters haven't got the 'selfies are so yesterday' memo just yet - Khloe, Kylie and Kourtney have all posted selfies of themselves within the last week.

Considering we may never see another Kim K selfie again, here's a gallery of her most memorable snaps from recent times:
