The beautiful photos of a Perth mum expecting quintuplets that are going viral.

In September 2015 Australian mum Kim Tucci, 26, started a Facebook page to share her pregnancy journey with others. But this pregnancy was a little bit different because Kim is currently expecting quintuplets- naturally.

Kim and her husband Vaughn already have two children and were keen to try for a third. While Kim says she didn’t mind the gender, part of her wanted a boy for Vaughn.

The couple began to experience some difficulties so when Kim finally had a positive pregnancy test she says she was shocked and excited. But nothing could have prepared them however for the news that was about to come.

“My legs started to shake and all I could do is laugh,” Kim says when her routine ultrasound appointment picked up not one, two or three heartbeats but five!

Kim has kept her 165,000 followers up to date on her pregnancy progress through regular posts, all indicating that the babies are well and healthy. She has also posted some beautiful photographs of her growing belly which were taken by Erin Elizabeth Photography.

As she heads towards the final stages of her pregnancy, Kim says things have started becoming uncomfortable. She is suffering from significant pain and body aches as well as stretch marks which is totally understandable given that the babies are almost 30 weeks.

To meet the needs of her growing babies Kim has been advised by her medical team that she needs to consume a whopping 6,000 calories per day which is no mean feat- especially when you add reflux and indigestion to the mix.

With two girls already in the family, Kim and Vaughn were keen to find out the gender of the babies and were excited to share that they are expecting four more girls and one boy.

Doctors have also said that some of the babies may be identical and will be able to determine for sure whether this is the case after sampling DNA after birth.

To date there has only been two sets of quintuplets born in Western Australia with the last set being in 1999.

Kim plans to give birth at Perth’s King Edward Memorial Hospital. While her due date isn’t until April, she will be hospitalised until then so that doctors can keep an eye on the health of mum and the team of babies.

UPDATE: Woman's Day has confirmed that Kim has given birth to her quintuplets, which came is just 'two minutes'.

Congratulations to the family.
