Katy Perry reveals she'll work with Taylor Swift on one condition: that she "says sorry".

It’s a good day when a pop star says she’ll end a long-standing feud to bring us some sweet, collaborative bangers.

Katy Perry sent the online universe (okay, so it’s just Twitter) ablaze with one tweet on Sunday.

The 31-year-old told a fan she would be willing to work with pop queen Taylor Swift in future if Swift apologised.

Those of you who don’t follow the celebrity world closely might be wondering: what does she need to apologise for?

Well, how much time do you have?

Perry and Swift have been involved in a so-called “feud” for years after Perry allegedly stole Swift’s backup dancers.

The claimed feud was remarkably well-hidden as both stars refused to rumble in the public eye.

Swift told The Telegraph she would never publicly comment on Perry as she refused to give journalists “anything to write about.”

“I’m not giving them anything to write about,” she said. (Post continues after gallery.)

“I’m not walking up the street with boys, I’m not stumbling out of clubs drunk. But I’m never going to talk about her in my interview. It’s not going to happen.”

However, a little light was shed by Calvin Harris during his very public post-breakup Twitter fight with Swift.

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” he tweeted.

“I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

Ouch.

Let’s hope the two songstresses can bury the hatchet and make some delightful bangers together. It’s all about the bangers, guys.
