The Katering Show stars land full-length ABC series and it sounds bloody brilliant.

There was only one problem with hilarious internet series The Katering Show – that the episodes of the cooking show parody created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan were too short.

Now, the clever, clever folks at ABC have realised this and have given the pair of comedic geniuses their own full-length series: Get Krack!n’.

Listen: Unlike the Kates’ personas, Matt Moran actually knows how to cook. He’s shared the secret to the perfect roast chook.

While The Katering Show allowed the Kates to poke fun at food trends and cooking programs, Get Krack!n’ will see the pair take on another beloved type of telly show – breakfast TV.

The synopsis tells us that McCartney and McLennan will “shuffle through a roster of unsafe demonstrations, surly guests, underprepared experts and the over-lit decomposition of the duo’s already rocky relationship”.

“Like any televisual format that The Kates put their rough, manly hands to, things on Get Krack!n’ will go downhill fast. Frankly, whatever the hour, an audience deserves better,” it reads.

The Katering Show won fans with its witty take on all things culinary, notching up millions of views on YouTube during its first six-episode season in 2015.

Seeing the show’s success, ABC hosted the second season on iView last year and later aired it on TV.

Eight half-hour episodes of Get Krack!n’ will air sometime during 2017 although dates have not been confirmed.
