Kasey Chamber has been admitted to hospital for surgery.

Australian singer Kasey Chambers is currently in hospital after having surgery on her vocal chords.

The singer shared a picture of herself on Facebook and Instagram lying in a hospital bed.

She captioned the images with, “Surgery-done. Finally had those pesky nodules and a cyst removed from my vocal chords! All went well and I’ll be back singing in eight weeks…..”

While Kasey appears to be in good spirits, it does mean she won't be able to speak for a fortnight or so.

"But NO TALKING FOR at least two WEEKS.....OH MY!!!!!! That ain't gonna be easy for me....(my family and friends are pretty darn happy about it though...)" she continued.

Chambers is mum to Talon, 12, Arlo, 7, and Poet, 3.
