Everything we know so far about Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough's upcoming wedding.

Five months after Today co-host Karl Stefanovic and his wife of 21 years Cassandra Thorburn separated, the headlines started.

The 42-year-old father-of-three was dating 33-year-old model and shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough, after they met at a boat party in Sydney in December. Just one year later, the couple was engaged, with rumours circulating that Jasmine’s ring cost in excess of $100,000.

Now, The Sunday Telegraph has reported that the couple will marry in December, and this is what we know so far:

A destination wedding.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, the couple are planning their wedding for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – a popular wedding destination for celebrities like Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and his partner Nicole Johnson, and singer Adam Levine and his wife, model Behati Prinsloo.

A destination wedding will likely make the event more private from media, too.

A small guest list.

It’s believed the same 20 guests who attended Karl and Jasmine’s commitment ceremony in March will be invited to the wedding, including Karl’s brother Peter and his wife, news presenter Sylvia Jeffreys, as well as entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins.

It was reported at the time that while Karl’s youngest children, 13-year-old Ava and 11-year-old River, attended the event, their older brother Jackson, 18, chose not to attend.

No media.

Given the privacy of their commitment ceremony, as well as Karl’s outward criticism of Australia’s tabloid magazines, it’s no surprise the couple won’t be selling their wedding to the media.

Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough had a commitment ceremony. Here’s why. Post continues after audio.

In an interview with The Fix earlier this year, Karl confirmed, “there is no media deal” for their engagement or wedding.

Low key.

If their commitment ceremony is anything to go by, the couple’s wedding will be a “low key affair”. Speaking to Today in March, Sylvia Jeffreys described Karl and Jasmine’s ceremony as a “very small day,” but “really beautiful and very them”.

“Very full of love and full of laughter, and a very special occasion for the two,” she said.

With the level of media attention on them, however, it will be difficult to keep it quiet.
