Hold onto your hats everyone, Kanye West has officially been made a doctor.
The husband of Kim Kardashian received an honorary doctorate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago on Monday.
We’re guessing they missed his debut album, which was titled ‘The College Dropout’.
The university told Complex that the accolade was given to Kanye as an 'influential individual' who earned 'this distinguished award through their work, which is always imaginative and aesthetically rich, and sometimes also provocative and controversial, shifting the cultural landscape in significant ways.'

Kim wasn't at the presentation, as the mum of one is currently in Brazil promoting her new book, Selfish. But she did take to Instagram to share how proud she was of Kanye.
She shared the below image with the caption, "Dr. Kanye West!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you baby & I know your mom would be so proud too!!!!"
Except while Kim might be tickled pink about being able to call her husband a 'doctor' her fans weren't as excited, suggesting that Kanye didn't deserve the qualification.
We guess singing "Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger" made a wonderful contribution to society.
