"What a disgrace": Journos are mighty angry at ABC's decision to demote Natasha Exelby.

It’s the TV blooper that’s made headlines around the world: ABC 24 anchor Natasha Exelby was just minding her own business, playing with the cap of her pen when she realised OH MY GOSH I AM ON AIR AND THE CAMERA IS ON ME AND EVERYONE IS WATCHING.

Natasha, we’ve all been there.

The extremely meme-able, and extremely relatable moment has now seen Exelby banned from appearing as a presenter on the network.

Outraged at the bizarre decision other Australian journos are tweeting their support for the newsreader by sharing their very own tales of TV failure.

It seems it’s not just the Aussie public that are outraged over Exelby’s demotion, with Opposition Leader Bill Shorten even sharing his opinion on the matter.

The lesson to be learned here is this: people make mistakes. Awkward things happen, especially when it comes to live TV.

But should you be fired over it? Definitely not…especially when it’s brought so much joy to so many people.
