The Aussie celebrity baby name nobody in our office can pronounce.

Jodi Anasta (nee Gordon) has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. The 29-year-old Home and Away star and her husband, Aussie rugby league player Braith Anasta, are clearly very big fans of the common vowel. The name they’ve given their brand new bundle of famous joy has just one consonant in it.

Welcome to the world, baby Aleeia.

Can you pronounce it? Al-ee-ia. Aleeia. Look, it’ll be fun to scream out at the park when the baby’s old enough to run around in public.

When Jodi spoke to Woman’s Day magazine, she was apparently in fits of giggles talking about Aleeia’s decision to arrive eleven days earlier than expected.

“It really did feel like I was in a film,” Jodi, 29, told them. “It was so exciting. It was everything I thought it would be.”

She painted a manic, beautiful picture of the rush-to-the-hospital drama the lead to Aleeia’s arrival to the world: “I had contractions in the middle of the night and we had a mad race to the hospital… and then this adorable little girl arrived, kicking and screaming.”

According to Braith and Jodi, the little family’s happy and healthy.

Jodi’s been very open about wanting to be back in pre-baby shape as soon as humanly (or modelly) possible.

“I’m looking forward to getting back into shape and I have my first Myer shoot six or seven weeks after, so I’ve got a good incentive,” she told Sydney Confidential last month.

“I’m not in a bikini but, still, I want to look my best.”

And as any good celebrity does these days, Jodi shared a sweet pregnancy belly bikini shot with her Instagram followers…
