This week may be the best time ever to book an overseas holiday.

It may be our first week back in the office, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be already dreaming about our next holiday.

Jetstar knows this, which is why they’ve put on an extraordinary sale, making this week possibly the best time all year to book your overseas holiday.

For starters, there are one-way flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Honolulu, Hawaii for $249.

And if Vietnam is more your style, there are flights from Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City from $209.

Queenslanders can hop a flight from Brisbane to Bali for as little as $169, or from the Gold Coast to Tokyo from $229.

The sale, which started Wednesday and finishes just before midnight on Wednesday 17 January includes range of other cheap flights to Singapore, Bangkok, Nadi, Christchurch and Aukland.

It’s worth remembering that these flights don’t include checked baggage, and you will have to buy a (slightly more expensive) return flight too. Still, it’s a really good deal.

For those who like their destinations a little less tropical, budget airline Scoot has flights to Berlin on sale for as little as $379 one-way from Perth and $439 from Melbourne and Sydney.

Meanwhile, Virgin Australia has a Holiday Hangover Cure sale ending on Sunday worth looking at, which includes $89 Melbourne to Sydney return flights.

And Intrepid and P&O Cruises are both offering $1 deposits, so you can secure your holiday now and not have to pay for it for weeks or even months.

Excuse us while we find our credit card…

Are you already thinking about your next holiday? Where are you planning to go?
