5 things we love about Jennifer Aniston.

Team Aniston? We thought so. Everyone loves former Friends star, Jennifer Aniston.

She’s honest, self-deprecating, funny, always has great hair and seems like she could be your best friend.

Need a strong drink after a bad break up? Jen’s your girl. She knows all about them after her divorce from fellow Hollywood megastar Brad Pitt, who she married in 2000 and divorced five years later after he hooked up with Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

At the wedding, she’d vowed to always make his favourite banana milkshake. Your loss, Brad. Your loss.

Despite the fact Jennifer insisted she was happy, looked incredible and continued to enjoy a mega-successful movie career, in the years post-Pitt she could never escape the narrative perpetually painted by the media of a lonely, single, childless woman.

‘Poor Jen’ was the catch-cry of many a tabloid, a completely ridiculous sentiment considering just how much Aniston had going for her. $11 million a movie? Tick. House in Malibu? Tick. Hot men hanging off her arm, including Vince Vaughn, Gerard Butler, and John Mayer? Tick.

Aniston announced her engagement to actor Justin Theroux in August 2012.

The pair met on the set of movie Wanderlust in May 2011. (The movie was released here last year, but went straight to DVD. But Jen got a fiance out of it, so we’d count that as a win.)

He gave her one of the biggest diamonds we’ve ever seen. That rock looks HEAVY.

1. This YouTube clip. This advertisement featuring Jen was released last year by the beverage company SmartWater. In the ad, Jen makes fun of those constant pregnancy rumours, appearing heavily pregnant with triplets. You know you want to see what that looks like.

2. Her red carpet style. Jennifer is well known for her classic, understated and elegant way of dressing. Click through the gallery below for some serious style envy.

3. Her turn as a sex-crazed dentist in Horrible Bosses. Playing seriously against type, Aniston is beyond funny in this film as she repeatedly tries to hit on her assistant, who threatens her with legal action.

4. Her decorum post-Pitt break up. Jennifer remained gracious after the split, refusing to bad-mouth her ex even when photos of him and Angelina on holiday together appeared in the press. To this day, she still hasn’t uttered a negative word about him.

5. Her friendship with Friends co-star Courtney Cox, who played Monica in the show. Jen is godmother to Courtney’s daugher Coco. Cue: Collective sigh.

Yep, even after all this time, we’re still on Team Aniston.
