Beyonce offers her sister an olive branch - in pictures.

Team Beyonce is in the midst of some serious damage control right now…

The pop legend, who fastidiously curates her public image through her social media accounts, found herself at the centre of a very public family scandal earlier this week.

Footage obtained by celebrity website TMZ depicted Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, and husband Jay Z embroiled in a ferocious altercation in an elevator following an after-party for the Met Ball last week. Following a verbal exchange, Solange physically attacks her brother-in-law while Beyonce attempts to position herself between them.

Since the shocking video was released on Tuesday, speculation has been rife over what sparked the fight and what the repercussions have been. Various reports have suggested Beyonce has had her wedding ring tattoo removed, and that Jay Z and Solange were spotted jewellery shopping together yesterday. Reps for the three singers are yet to release a statement, so it's all rumour for now.

However, the real drama has played out across Instagram. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that Solange removed almost every photo of Beyonce from her account on Tuesday, which is possibly the most 2014 way for one to passively-aggressively express annoyance with a sibling. (Gone are the days of cutting up their clothing.)

Now, Beyonce has broken her silence - on Instagram, at least. Last night, the singer posted a series of happy snaps of the Knowles sisters embracing, goofing around and generally acting like family.

Her captions were ambigious ("Good morning", for instance) but the message was loud and clear: Don't worry, guys, it's all good! No, really! Happy families! You can totally stop reporting on it now. As you were.

She also shared a photo of herself with Rihanna at the Met Ball, clearly in reference to reports Solange's anger with Jay Z was sparked when he announced he was attending Rihanna's after-party without Beyonce.

Jay Z is yet to address the incident, but if he does, we predict it'll be in rap form. ("100 Problems", anyone?)
