Celeb in 5: Monday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. Julia Morris addresses the bizarre conspiracy theory about where I’m a Celeb is filmed.

There are many mysteries surrounding reality television.

Mysteries some of us will never truly get to the bottom of, which is distressing for us because, well, it’s our lifeblood.

Like, for example, what actually happens on those steamy episodes of The Bachelor when the cameras pan away?

Who bloody knows.

And why doesn’t anyone ever eat the cheese on the dates?

Baffling.

One such mystery surrounding I’m a Celebrity this season is whether we actually live in a cruel world full of secrets and lies, and that the filming location is not where we’ve been led to believe.

Um, rude.

It comes after a very suspicious Instagram post last week was geo-tagged in Katoomba NSW, leading many to speculate whether the show is actually filmed in the Blue Mountains, not South Africa.

The people were shooketh.

Well, host Julia Morris has addressed the rumours today on KIIS FM’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show.

And, look, it sounds a lot like she’s going to great lengths to defend the network… suggesting she could actually be in on it too. Just sayin‘.

The 50-year-old comedian said: “Can you imagine how much easier my life would be if we were in the Blue Mountains?” she said. “I’d get to go home every weekend!”

Hmm.

We just don’t know what to believe.

But we suspect this is the work of the Illuminati.

(Or Channel 10 are just getting their kicks by trolling us on Instagram ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).

2. Victoria Beckham has admitted she finds the constant divorce rumours “annoying”.

Depending on the exact minute of the day, Victoria and David Beckham’s 19-year-marriage can be seen in various states of decay. It just all depends on the news cycle.

From affairs to public spats and everything else in between, even Posh Spice is over the rumours.

Speaking to the Guardian, the 44-year-old fashion designer says she no longer gets involved.

“It can get quite frustrating. But I leave it to my PR team. I don’t get involved,” she said.

However she did confirm the rumours are “completely fabricated”.

“You do have to be quite controlling because people do believe what they read, and when it’s completely fabricated, that’s really annoying,” she stated.

And she has a point.

Just before Christmas, the couple were the subject of divorce rumours after it was reported the pair didn’t speak at the British Fashion Awards. Months before it was whisperings of David’s apparent affair with Harper’s school teacher. However, with 19 years in the bank and four children between them, when it comes to tabloid gossip, the Beckhams prove that the best defence is a united one.

3. “I loved this character.” The one role Hugh Jackman would love to reprise again.

From Wolverine in the X-Men series, the Drover in Australia, to Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, Aussie actor Hugh Jackman has collected a pretty diverse character resume throughout his character.

However there’s one character he’s gunning to play again. Speaking to BBC Radio Five Live, his answer surprisingly wasn’t his breakthrough role as Wolverine, but Barnum & Bailey Circus founder, P.T. Barnum, in the 2017 hit The Greatest Showman.

“If a genuine opportunity came up where it felt like the right thing to do, then yep, I’d get the top hat back out,” he said

“It’s clear to me and to everyone that people love these characters. I loved this movie, I loved this character and it was one of the great joys of my life.”

It makes sense the triple threat would pick this singing, acting and dancing role to reprise, where he starred alongside Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya.

Although there’s no sequel currently in the works, the film was by all metrics a hit – The Greatest Showman grossed $434 million and became the fifth-highest grossing live-action musical of all time.

4. Congrats! The Bachelor’s Lisa Hyde is pregnant with her first child.

The 32-year-old, who split up with her Bachelor In Paradise co-star Luke McLeod last year, announced the exciting news on Instagram.

Sharing a photo with her partner Damon Collina, the fashion designer wrote: “A beautiful miracle chose us to be her parents, we can’t wait to meet you little bubba”.

The Bachelor star split from Luke several months before she met Damon in April last year.

5. The moment Ajay Rochester met her birth mother, and realised she already knew her.

Currently braving the wilderness in South Africa’s Kruger National Park as part of her stint on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of HereAjay Rochester shared her fascinating adoption story with fellow camper and Gogglebox star Angie Kent.

The former Biggest Loser host was adopted shortly after her birth and said she spent her “whole life looking for [her] birth mum”. According a 2015 Instagram post, Ajay says she was “illegally taken” from her mother by the Australian government who put the babies of single mothers up for adoption.

#tbt this photo is my birth mother and my brothers. I took this photo not knowing we were related. She was my boss at a dinner theatre I was performing in. This photo is taken from the sound booth. The sound engineer was my boyfriend. We snapped the photo and he said, “you know she could be your mother. Her name is Kaylene.” At the time all adoptees had were first names and non identifying information. Had I gone up and asked her if she ever adopted out a little girl I would have had 5 years with my mum versus the 2 I had before her life was cut short. She never lived long enough to have her story of me being stolen from her verified by the government. #adoption #birthmum #stolengeneration #forcedadoption

“Two years ago all the heads of Australian government including the prime minister made a formal apology and acknowledgement for all the children stolen from their single mothers in the 50s 60s and 70s. There was a mass cover up where babies were illegally taken from their mothers and the mothers were lied to as were the adopted children,” she wrote on Instagram.

It wasn’t until Ajay was 21, when adoption law changed, that she was given her birth mother’s full name (Kaylene Rochester) and last known location (Orange, NSW), and thus she was able to track her down.

You can read the full details of Ajay’s story from our earlier post here.
