It is taking every ounce of my effort, as a die-hard Harry Potter fan, to not completely lose my mind.
To currently construct sentences is hard and it’s not just me. It is every Australian Harry Potter fan who has ever felt isolated by some 15,000 kilometre distance between here and the Harry Potter homeland of Britain.
In what can only be described as a Christmas miracle, we now have a Harry pop-up store, selling all things wizardly and wonderful.
According to TimeOut, you can find it in Myer’s Wonderful (the official ‘Christmas level’ during Christmas). It will be selling everything from Harry Potter-themed Cluedo, quidditch goggles, and the wand of my fictional heroine, Hermione.
From the few sneak-peak images I have found, I can also guess confirm there are cups, time turners, figurines, and wait for it…SORTING HATS.
This may seem over the top but these are the real dreams of 10-year-old me. Truly.
Unfortunately, not all Myer stores will be having this magical makeover, only the Sydney CBD store.
This is just another piece of Harry Potter good news, with the Cursed Child play coming to Melbourne and Brisbane in 2019.
Now, excuse me while I secretly leave work and purchase myself Hermione’s wand.
