We may have to start getting the dye bottles out if we want to fulfil our sexual goddess desire. Because now there are studies showing that the colour of your hair could be telling of your sex life.

While the study only took in to account brunettes, blondes and redheads it came up with some interesting stats. We’re sure you already know your bedroom patterns, but just in case you need your hair to tell you – here’s where you sit.

If you’re a brunette…

Great news - you are better in bed (maybe blondes don't really have more fun). A survey conducted, focussing on all things sex and marriage shows that 58 per cent of men (or six out of 10) said they'd prefer to have a brunette in the bedroom because they're better. Only 16 per cent said that blondes were better (ooph).

If you're a blonde...

So while you're not as good as your darker haired counterparts, it's not all bad news. You still got sex appeal ladies don't you worry. The survey showed that 36 per cent of men said blondes are more adventurous in the bedroom (forget your missionary style) blondes are out to impress in a different way to the brunettes.

If you are a redhead...

You get to enjoy your romp time more than anyone else (lucky things). In a separate study from the Hamburg Research Institute in Germany, findings showed that women with flaming red hair are having much more sexy time than blondes and brunettes. Further research shows that one reason for this could be because red is the opposite colour to grey hair (passed child-bearing age) it can signal that these women are very fertile - and so attractive to men's libidos.

And if you like to dance...

If you look nothing like Beyonce on the dancefloor, this is a good sign. No matter what colour hair you have - if you don't know how to shake it around while moving your hips in unison, you could actually be a better lover in bed. From the survey, about 75 per cent (or three quarters) of women and 63 per cent of men said that their best bedroom partners were horrible dancers. They must be saving their moves for the bedroom.

So there you go - whether you're brunette, blonde or a fiery red you've got some positives to bring to the bedroom.
